Data Scientist
Team Overview
The Data Science Team within Customer Success partners directly with clients to deliver impactful risk prevention solutions. We combine technical expertise with business acumen to activate, support, and enable clients. Our team collaborates globally across departments like Research, Product, and Marketing, driven by a shared mission to fight financial crime and protect people from harm.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and understand client-provided data
- Clean, validate, and preprocess data using tools like Python, Java, Scala, and shell scripts
- Engineer features and tune model parameters to optimize performance
- Communicate findings and insights to project managers and stakeholders
- Collaborate with client-side data scientists, engineers, and risk managers
- Partner with internal teams to improve processes, tooling, and best practices
Required Qualifications
- MSc or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Physics, or related field
- Strong foundation in Machine Learning (training, testing, overfitting prevention)
- Experience with Big Data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop)
- Proficiency in bash, Python, and either Java or Scala
- Understanding of resource monitoring and runtime optimization (JVM and OS level)
- Ability to clearly communicate technical findings to diverse audiences
